Another day someone asked me, how you can make money with Canva? So I decided to do a small experiment ( which I will share with you). In today’s post, I will share with you 5 ways you can make money with Canva.

What is Canva?

Before we go deep on how to make money with Canva, let me explain what is Canva, this is for those who do not know what is it.

Canva is a graphic design platform that creates social media graphics, presentations, posters, documents, and other visual content.

The app includes templates for users to use. The platform is free to use and offers paid subscriptions like Canva Pro and Canva for Enterprise for additional functionality.

How To Make Money With Canva

So now let me share with you five ways you can make money with Canva.

Create and sell templates

You can create different types of templates and you can sell them, people are looking for cover letter templates, manifestation script temples, rewards templates, etc. 

All you need to do is to use Canva to create different types of templates and sell them on online stores like Etsy.com

I know many people who make a full-time income by selling law of attraction templates, find your corner create templates on Canva, and sell them, you will make money.

Become Canva affiliate

I am an advocate of affiliate marketing, so I decided to do a small test, what I did was that I took a banner and put it on my blog( actually this blog) and actually made two sales from it ( see the image below).

I live in Mexico, so they pay me in Mexican pesos, so you can see I got 60 clicks and made 2 sales that are equivalent to $10.

I know it is not a lot of money but if I left that banner for a longer time, I could have made even more money.

How to become a Canva affiliate?

In order to become a Canva affiliate, just go to canva.com, scroll down to the very bottom of the page, and then find where it says affiliate program.

That link will take you to the affiliate registration page ( the affiliate program is hosted with Impact Radius), fill in the required information, and apply to become an affiliate.

How to promote the Canva affiliate program?

After getting approved you can start promoting your link using a blog if you have one, a Youtube channel if you have one if you do not have an audience you can use Social media, and for the Canva affiliate program, Instagram works the best.

Create cool images, post them on Instagram, add your Canva affiliate link in your bio, and tell your followers that if they want to create cool images like yours they should click the link in the bio, easy sale.

Create Logos and Youtube thumbnails and sell them on Fiverr

You can take one weekend and learn how to create website/blog logos and Youtube thumbnails in Canva and then go to the website called fiverr.com.

Create an account in Fivver and start selling your service, people buy that a lot since most content creators can not create logos and thumbnails, or for lack of time sometimes lack of know-how.

For example, this guy on Fiverr sells one logo at a minimum of $40 and has sold more than 450 of them, that is at least $18,000, assuming they sold just the lowest package.

You can learn that skill and start creating those logos and thumbnails using Canva and selling them.

Teach people how to use Canva

Another cool way to make money using Canva is to teach people how to use Canva, see the step above I said you could learn how to create a logo and sell them to Fiverr.

If you know how to do that you can create a course and sell it to people who want to learn to use Canva, or you can create a series of videos explaining how to create different templates, thumbnails, and logos using Canva and monetize the viewership your Youtube Adsense. 

Also in the course or videos, you can send people to Canva using your affiliate link, and if they upgrade you will get paid.

I know a guy who created an article on how to remove background color in your image, and in the post, he explained how to do it using Canva and recommended Canva to his readers, that post make him more than $300 in just two weeks, that is just one post.

Make money with Canva using the resource method

The resource method is the underground way to make extra money with Canva actual without doing extra work.

If you are going to use any of the 4 methods I described above, you can add another source of income without doing the extra work.

The idea of this method is to look at what is the customer’s goal when they order service from you, let say you sell someone a manifestation template, sure this person is interested in manifestation, all you need to do is to find products that teach about manifestation, create a resource document and add links to that course, then you deliver the templates you include those as a bonus.

When they open the service you just delivered they will see that resource page that has some link to extra resources they need and if they buy something you get paid.

For the customer who orders logos for blogs, you can recommend hosting, autoresponders, and anything that they can use to build and grow their blogs.

For people who buy and sell job application letter templates, you can recommend a video that teaches them how to write a killer job application letter.

You are not tricking them, you are helping further with their problem and in the process, you give yourself a chance to make money.
