Starting and owning an online business can be a very lonely thing to do, this is because most of your family and friends will never understand what you do despite your effort to explain to them what you do.
This is why it is vital to form your own group of friends who can help you on the road to online success.
You know they say no man or woman is an island, and you’re not different, you need to have at least three friends or people who can help you on your journey.
3 Types of People You Need on The Road To Online Success
1) Mentor (someone to look up to)
You need someone who you can exchange places with, I mean someone who has achieved what you wish to achieve, someone who you can look up to and take advice from, someone who has knowledge and expertise to help you to move to the next level.
It is not easy to find a mentor in this online space but few of them can be trusted, most of them will take money and move to the next target.
Few good mentors, who are willing to teach you and help you to become successful, will need commitment from your side, yes, you will need to pay for it but if you’re not committed even with your money they won’t help you.
For me the best way to find someone to mentor you is to first buy the product they have (if you can afford it) if you can not it is not a big deal, you can subscribe to their Youtube channel, and email list, and join their Facebook group ( most of them they have at least one of these).
Ask them questions, apply what they suggest to you and they will be more than willing to help you out.
If you want to build money-making sites, here is the mentor you need.
2) Student (someone to help and teach)
I have been a student and a teacher all my life. One thing I can tell you is that the best way to learn something is to teach that thing to someone as soon as you learn it.
The good news is that you do not have to be an expert on the subject, all you need to do is to know a little bit more about the subject than the person you are teaching.
If you do not feel comfortable as an expert, you can document the journey of your learning, you learn how to set up a squeeze page, shoot a video or write an article explaining the process you’re going through, always there is someone who does not know that and they will be very happy to learn from you. Before you know it you will be considered a teacher and expert.
Most people online have no idea what they are doing, if you learn one or two skills and dedicate teaching them online for sure you will get some students, and remember you do not need many students to make a living.
If you have a course that you sell at $100, you just need 100 students to make $10k grand per month, if you put in the effort that is something that can be achieved in 6 to 12 months’ time.
3) Peer (someone to compete with and grow with)
You learn from one and you teach another one, but you need one more personal in your online business journey, you need someone who is at the same level as you.
If you are just starting out, find out someone who is just starting out as well and ask them if they can be your accountability partner.
You need someone who will be accountable to you and you will be accountable to them, someone that you can have friendly competition with.
Are you a newbie? Do you make $100 per day, do you make cash here and there? there is someone who is on the same journey as you.
Again you can find these people online, especially in the Facebook groups, all you need to do is join Facebook groups in your niche and start making friends.
Recently I joined a training boot camp, apart from learning a lot from the teachers and in the boot camp itself I was very lucky to make a few friends there.
You do not have to pay any BootCamp to do this, you can find many people on Twitter and Facebook who are on the same journey as you, you just need to start interacting with them, establish relationships and help each other out.
That is it, those are the 3 types of people you need on the road to your online success, again thank you for reading.
